SSMS - 2020

 MECHANICAL ENGINEERING RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES (IMASH RAN)

Dear colleagues!

We invite you to participate in our conference SSMS – 2020, which will be held from 27 to 29 October 2020. Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, the Conference Survivability and Structural Material Science SSMS – 2020 will held in online format using ZOOM service.

The working languages of the Conference are Russian and English.

KEY DATES

16.10.2020 – registration of the Conference and submission Papers;

19.10.2020 – program of Conference;

27–29.10.2020 – Conference.

TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE

  • Ceramic and metal-ceramic materials and coatings (production, properties, application).
  • Resistance to long-term static and cyclic deformation and destruction of structural materials operating in extreme conditions.
  • Influence of the structural state on the deformation, strength and tribological characteristics of structural materials.
  • Structure, strength and technological properties of materials with specific properties (nanomaterials and nanocoatings, materials with shape memory, bimetallic materials, etc.).
  • Models and criteria for the destruction of materials and the survivability of structures at various scale-structural levels.
  • Computational fracture mechanics in the problems of survivability and structural materials science.
  • Risk analysis in the system of survivability and safety criteria.
  • Dynamic processes of destruction. Diagnostics and monitoring of damaged machines and structures. Experimental research methods.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE

  • discussion of the problems of strength, fatigue, creep, fracture mechanics and structural materials science at the present stage of development of science and technology;
  • discussion of methods for forecasting and improving technogenic safety, security, survivability and resource of critical facilities;
  • monitoring and diagnostics of degradation, damage and destruction of structural materials;
  • the role of promising technologies in the formation of the structure and increase in the deformation, strength and tribological properties of structural materials and coatings.
